Christmas Tag Bingo

I have been making tags lately to enter in 25 Days of Tags.  Today I am featuring this cute little guy, "Bobblehead Christmas Elf" from Bugaboo Stamps.

I chose the left to right diagonal line  sentiment, embossing and sparkle for my Bingo entry. I used glitter card stock to cut out the word Merry, plus I added some Wink of Stella to the bell on the end of his hat.  The "Christmas" sentiment was stamped then embossed with Ranger Embossing powder in "Fired Brick".  I used my Lawn Fawn Stitched Scallop Borders on the bottom edge.

I was inspired by Tracey McNeely's tag on Day 12.  Be sure to check out all the tags, there is so much inspiration.

O Christmas Tree

Here are a few cards I made to send to the Caring Hearts Card Drive 2017.  This is a great cause to show some love to the elderly.  If you want to know more check out #caringheartscarddrive.

I cut out 4 christmas trees with my Cricut Explore, then I created 4 different cards.  On two of my trees I used AG Holly Berries Embossing Folder then added some ink accents with my Distress Inks.

The other two I add lights and used my Nuvo Glitter Drops to create the little light bulb.

These were quick and easy to put together, so you can do them in bulk.

Poppi Penguin Gift Card

Hey there, hope you had a great weekend.  Today is Monday, so that means lets make anything but a card.

I am getting my gift cards started and have been getting tons of inspiration from #25daysofchristmastags.  This tag was inspired by Day 6 - Laura Pryor's tag.  There are so many it's really hard to chose any favorites.

I am featuring Poppi Xmas Snowballs.  I decided to make a cute little shaker card.  I cut my tag out with my Cricut Explore, then used stitched circles to cut out the window.

I layered some white fun foam between the two tags and added a few sequins and snow glitter inside. I did use a little Broken China Distress Oxide ink on the back tag to add a little color behind the shaeker.

I then cut out a stitched oval and cut into pieces to layer on the bottom for a snow drift effect.

I colored Poppi with my Distress Inks and Distress Markers, plus my Prismacolor pencils.

Your out of this World

Not sure what happened here, but this post got deleted from my blog.

This cute little guy is "AKV Astronaut Rocket 2", located in the Bugaboo Store.

I used distress inks (Seedless Preserves, Blueprint Sketch, Chipped Sapphire) for the background, first I stamped some stars and used clear heat embossing powder.

I added Glossy Accents over the face, it looks like he actually has an astronaut  helmet on.

Partial Die Cut with the Cricut Explore

Here are a few cards I put together to send to the Caring Hearts Card Drive 2017.  This card drive is to collect cards for the elderly that live in nursing homes.  If you want to get involved, there is more information here.   Unfortunately, I will be keeping these for myself, I failed to review the instructions before I made these and they are the wrong size.  Oh well, I'll have to design some others.  I already have about 10 ready to go, just need to get them in the mail.

Today's card features a partial cut using an image in Design Space instead of a cutting die.  For this card  used the Holly Wreath Image #M418A60 from the Close to My Heart (CTMH) Artistry Cartridge.  I'm not sure, but this cartridge may not be available any more.  I know they retired several of their cartridges.

I sized my image and card panel to fit my 5.25" square card base.  I also made my layer 5.25", because I needed the wreath large enough for my sentiment to be seen.

Look at the image and you can see where I placed my image to slice.  After slicing you will have two pieces that are sliced.  Keep one and discard the other.  Using the contour feature remove the pieces you don't want to cut.

I removed the center piece and a small leaf piece as shown here.

Then you place the image back in place and weld it to the card layer. (Top right image above.)

The finished image looks like the bottom right image shown above.  Now once you place the wreath back in place your cutting file looks like this.

You can do this with any image of your choice.  I just wanted a wreath frame for my card.  If my instructions aren't clear enough you can find numerous videos on how to slice and weld on You tube.

I cut a piece of fun foam out about 1/4" smaller than the panel and then cut a circle out the center.  This was glued to my panel, then to my card to add dimension.  I used Nuvo Crystal drops in red to all the little circle areas.

The sentiment is from MFT Stamps, Handwritten Holiday.  I stamped it with Versa Mark ink and heat embossed it with gold embossing powder.

Stamped striped background paper

Today I am taking a break from coloring my digital stamps.  I pulled out one of the monthly card kits I purchased from Simon Says.  Since I have a few birthdays coming up I need to create something other than Christmas cards.  Here is the one I made for my hubby.

I created the background with the stamp set "Brushstroke Messages" included in the October 2017 Card Kit.  I used the two stripes,  the larger stripe I inked with "Outdoor Denim (dark blue or navy blue)" by CTMH.  The smaller stripes are heat embossed with Copper embossing powder.  I used a dark blue HD card stock for the card base from Paper Studios.  The sentiments are from 2 different stamp sets, the "Just wanted to Say" is from the Brushstroke Messages set and the Happy Birthday is an expired stamp from CTMH.

The Misti is the perfect tool for creating background patterns.  I am going to start making more of my backgrounds, they coordinate so much better.

I used vellum for my top layer so I wouldn't hide my background.  I need to figure out what type of tape works best for vellum, I can see it through the vellum.  I used "Hello Wedding" font to create the word husban, this was a free font of the week at Fontbundles awhile back.  I cut it out twice, once out of a thick white card stock and once from foiled copper card stock to add dimension.  Then I stamped the little heart on the vellum and heat embossed with copper embossing powder.

"Ewe" Rock

Hi everyone, hope this finds you having a great week.  Today's freebie at the Bugaboo Store is this cute little guy.

I saw this adorable circle word dies on Pinterest, so I decided to create one myself.  I used Sure Cuts a Lot to get my letters around a circle and then re-arranged and positioned them.  Now I can upload them into Design Space and make them any size I want.  I do find if I cut them below 3" I need to set my Explore to "Intricate Cuts".  My image has a solid center, so I used my Inside/Out Circle Dies from #myfavoritethings to cut a stitched circle out.  Then I used the same die to cut out my image.  Now my center image is inlaid in the outer circle , so I have double stitching.  I placed both cut outs on my card and then used my Stitched Rectangles Set #1 to cut the entire panel.

I added Glossy Accents on the sunglasses and a few silver sequins with a little silver stickies in the center.

The layout was inspired by Stella Says Sketch #517.  This is a bi-weekly sketch challenge, and you can enter up to 3 times.  If you use a Bugaboo Image, you could WIN 10, 7 or 4 Bugaboo Images of your choice.  If you NEED a Bugaboo Stamp to use, head on over to the store and get this weeks Friday Freebie!  Of course a Bugaboo image isn't necessary and you'll still be eligible for 7 or 4 Bugaboo Stamps Images of your choice if you’re one of our winners! All entries must be new and follow the sketch.  Due to the Bugaboo Stamps holiday vacation, we're giving you until 6 am Sunday November 5, 2017 to join the sketchy fun.
